Start/end dates in rules/rights/deals TX selection

August 22nd, 2017 (Revision 1), print this page

Until now, you could link a VOD rule/right/deal to a specific linear transmission. E.g. you could create a VOD rule targeting the 3rd absolute TX in one channel. With this change, we’re adding some more flexibility to this functionality, by allowing you to define a date/time range for the scope of the transmission.

This note describes this change in full, and as usual, you can contact support or your Technical Account Manager for further clarification.

Now you can limit the specified transmission to a given date range. That allows you to say something like “link this VOD rule to the 1st TX after the 1st of December” or “link this VOD rule to the 2nd TX of October”:

And optionally, you can be even more precise by adding times to the mix. That can be useful to target, for example, the 1st TX of the afternoon for a given period:

Remember that this is not only available in VOD rules, but also in rights and deals.
