Rerun limit in rights

May 5th, 2017 (Revision 1), print this page

We have added support for an additional parameter for rights and deals. The “rerun limit” restricts the number of times content can be scheduled within the same rights scope.

This note describes this change in full, and, as usual, you can contact support or your Technical Account Manager for further clarification.

A “rerun limit” parameter has been added to both the rights and deals elements; a positive integer can be entered.

And we also display the number of reruns permitted in the summary of the rights.

Setting a value restricts the number of schedule entries which can be created within the scope of that right when scheduling the relevant title on applicable platforms.

For example if the rerun limit is set to 5 then for each platform the right applies to, the title can only have 5 unique schedule entries of any scope (i.e. offline, online, or going online).

This status is also displayed within the schedule page where validation results of rights are displayed.

Of course we have also added support for this new rights parameter in the Mediagenix On-Demand API as well.
