Rights exploitation limit per scheduled window
February 26th, 2019 (Revision 1), print this pageIn Mediagenix On-Demand there exists the ability to set up an exploitation window for your content when creating a Right. An exploitation window specifies the minimum and maximum number of days you are permitted to schedule the content for with the scope of that right.
We’ve extended this functionality, now allowing exploitation windows to also specify the limit per scheduled window within the right.
This note describes this change in full, and, as usual, you can contact support or your Technical Account Manager for further clarification.
Previously you were able to specify an exploitation window with a minimum and maximum value of days:
We’ve extended this, adding the ability to choose between an exploitation window for the entire right, or the schedule window with a simple select dialog:
What does this enable? Well if you have a right lasting a year for your Feature, and an exploitation limit per window set as a maximum 30 days, you could schedule the content multiple times within that right, but for only 30 days at a time. For anything more you will see a rights error.
We’re committed to updating Mediagenix On-Demand to add as many of the rights parameters our customers require as needed, if there’s something you need to track with your rights which we don’t support please tell us!
