✨ What’s new?
- Unified Search Experience: Whether you’re using Quick Search (top right) or any other search box in MOD, you’ll now get the same consistent results with our enhanced search logic.
- Smarter Results:
- Search by a combination of season and episode name to quickly find the exact title without typing the full episode name.
- Get results prioritised by exact metadata matches with your search query. For example, contributor searches (aka people) now bring back more relevant results.
- Filter directly in your search by typing
type:to narrow down by content type. You can use this to filter by brand, series, collection, title, contributor, or franchise. For example,type:brandwill surface the matching results that are Brands. We will add more granularity (e.g. being able to filter by different title subtypes, such as feature, episode or clip) in the future.

🎬 Behind the scenes
We’ve updated the search engine to:
- Improve how we calculate scoring weight (so exact matches rank higher).
- Expand the scope of fields included in search, while still prioritising the most relevant results.
