Send to Sequence in the background

February 13th, 2017 (Revision 1), print this page

We’ve amended the “Send to Sequence” requests in Mediagenix On-Demand so that they are now processed in the background. This will make the Schedule page respond faster, and cut down on unnecessary waiting times

This note describes this change in full, and as usual you can contact support or your Technical Account Manager for further clarification.

In the past, when you selected a large number of entries in the schedule page, and then tried to send them to Sequence, the schedule page would freeze for a few seconds. This was because Mediagenix On-Demand wasn’t responding until all the requested jobs had been created in Sequence.

To improve the user experience, we have moved this processing to the background. That means that Mediagenix On-Demand now responds immediately to any “Send to Sequence” request, regardless of the number of schedule entries, returning the control to you without delay. You can keep working on anything else while your Sequence jobs are being created behind the scenes.
